SilverStar heavy equipment management is a cost-effective wireless monitoring solution that enables organizations to easily and efficiently manage their out-of-sight assets.
The total heavy equipment management solution consists of:
- A monitoring unit installed inside or on the machine
- An SilverStar-provided website to deliver asset location reports, maintenance reminders, asset utilization information, asset history logs, and more
- Real-time Alert Notifications delivered as text message to cell phones, and/or via email
In addition to SilverStar also offers asset management for other industrial solutions such as
water chiller management, crane tracking and fleet vehicle management.
Web service and alert notifications:
- All heavy equipment management reports and alerts are accessible through a simple web interface. The latest report from each machine is immediately displayed upon login.
- Alert Notifications are targeted to specific recipients according to the type of violation. Alert Notifications can be sent in the form of text messages to cell phones, and/or as email messages.
- A simple-to-use web interface enables users to control the system. Authorized users can create custom Asset Descriptions, create User Accounts, direct the Alert Notifications to specific recipients, and more.
- A History Log tracks and displays all communications to and from each asset.
SilverStar is a wireless solution for heavy equipment management. It automatically monitors and reports each machine’s location and Engine Run-Hours. SilverStar also reports each machine’s activity and issues real-time Alert Notifications if any problems are detected. The solution is web-based and easy to use.

Engine Run-Hour Reports: SilverStar heavy equipment management automatically reports each time the machine’s engine is turned ON or OFF, and the website automatically displays the up-to-date Engine Run-Hours for each machine. Key advantages include:

- Utilization Reports: SilverStar Utilization Reports enable fleet managers to better understand how the machines have been utilized. Users can specify various intervals for the Utilization Reports.
- Alert Notifications: SilverStar heavy equipment management can send real-time Alert Notification in the form of text messages and/or as email messages. Alert Notifications are available for:
- Curfew violation – users can specify a nightly “curfew” for each machine. If the machine is used during a prohibited time period, SilverStar will immediately report a Curfew Violation and will automatically track the machine's location.
- Geofence violation – users can specify a boundary around any machine. If the machine moves beyond the boundary, SilverStar heavy equipment management will immediately report a GeoFence Violation and will automatically track the machine's location.
- Low Battery notification – the monitoring unit will monitor the machine's battery level, and will issue a Low Battery Alert Notification if the battery weakens.
- Battery Tamper notification - the monitoring unit can send a Battery Tamper Alert Notification if the main battery is disconnected.
- Maintenance Due – users can specify custom maintenance intervals for each machine, and receive reminders when service is due.
- Power Save Mode: When the engine is OFF, the monitoring unit will enter its Power Save mode to reduce power consumption. All alerts and regularly-scheduled reports will continue while the unit is in Power Save mode.
- Live Track: Users can command the system to automatically track any asset for a one-hour period, providing location reports at five-minute intervals and displaying the machine's position on a map.
- Back-up Battery: A built-in backup battery enables the monitoring unit to continue operation if the main battery is disconnected. The unit can also issue a Battery Tamper Alert Notification if the battery is disconnected.
