Real-Time Passenger Information
SmartBus provides transit riders with real-time information regarding their commute and travel. Riders can find out exactly when the next few vehicles will arrive at any particular stop from home or office via the Internet, from signs at stops and stations, and on handheld devices. Riders can be informed about changes in service, delays and information regarding safety and route changes.

SmartBus Predictor
The SmartBus approach to prediction is unique in that it is based on actual vehicle locations and a proprietary mathematical model that takes into account historical travel times under a variety of conditions. It is not based on deviations from schedule. The result of this architectural approach is a stream of predictions that are amazingly accurate, given the stochastic nature of operating a fleet of vehicles in varied environments. The system displays public arrival predictions with a one-minute resolution.

Transit Management Tools
SmartBus developed a set of web pages for transit management that provide agency management with a powerful set of tools that will help manage daily transit operations, diagnose and manage problems and incidents, and plan for the future. Data is stored in an SQL database. Tools include reports, archived behavior, AVL data points, schedule adherence, headway information, and replay map displays.
